Bulgaria:

Higher School "Agricultural college"

The Agricultural college was established with the Decision of the Government Council ? 435/23.10.1992 in 1992 and it was transformed into Higher School “Agricultural college” with the Decision of the Government Council ? 18/27.01.1997.

The mission of the college is:

  • To give a real chance of young people to gain the competition at the labor market through education corresponding to the European academic standards.
  • To revive the prestige of the Bulgarian agricultural producers towards the world through the integration of national traditions in private agriculture with the achievements of the leading European countries.

The quality of education is realized through:

  • Training programs and curricula which match the national tradition with the goodEuropean practice.
  • Active students’ participation in the internal quality controlsystem.
  • Academic staff that has a high erudition and significant scientificachievements at home and abroad.
  • Feedback collected by the employers.

The college provides full-time and part-time studies on the following specialties: ‘Farming’, Agricultural economics’, ‘Business management’ and ‘Technologies of horticulture and wine production’.

The graduated specialists acquire knowledge, skills and motivation for management of farms, co-operatives, agribusiness, companies with agricultural and environmental activities and other government and non-government organizations.
